CReed Global Media is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist, who is full of creative ideas and eager to contribute on a large scale. A Technical Operations Specialist, or an IT Support Specialist, is a crucial proactive leader responsible for assisting our team and clients with technical issues, questions and other related inquiries related to our digital platforms, hardware and software.
This position will allow you to gain new skills, and work with multiple projects, clients and brands that are constantly expanding. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various programs, software, social media sites and apps. Job Specifications
- Supports all team technical needs and functions as an SME.
- Documents processes, procedures, steps, for repeatable processes of tasks and easy knowledge transfer to new team members.
- Grows company revenue through the use of technology, data analytics, proactive measures, sound problem solving and creation of processes and technical services to benefit clients as a value added service.
- Provides support services for technological systems, programs, and networks.
- Oversees the implementation, configuration, updating, and maintenance of IT systems and components.
- Manages technical projects and technical aspects of projects with the team.
- Performs sales duties, promoting certain technology products or services.
- Ensures that all technical aspects are functioning and performing optimally.
- Maximizes computer system capabilities and makes recommendations.
- Handles customer technical support cases through phone and email submission.
- Updates the company website with tech tips and brief documents.
- Evaluates system potential through assessing compatibility of new programs with existing programs.
- Improves existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes and making recommendations.
- Maintains system functionality by testing computer components.
- Achieves computer stem objectives through collecting relevant data, identifying and evaluating options and suggesting a course of action.
- Maintains client confidence by keeping their information confidential.
- Works to review Google analytics to track the activity of our website, making adjustments and researching ways to improve click thru rates, page views, etc.
- Prepares reference material for users by drafting operation instructions.
- Creates reporting for web-based tools for internal use and client facing presentations.
- Builds and maintains relationships with internal/external clients and both local and national platforms.
- Has technical knowledge and can assist in the building of websites/landing pages to support marketing.
- Monitors the impact of electronic and social media efforts, marketing plans, including revenues, and adjust accordingly.
- Duties include taking phone calls from customers or communicating with them through messaging platforms, helping customers diagnose technical issues over the phone and speaking with them about installing hardware or software on their devices.
- This is an evolving role. The successful candidate will perform other duties as requested by staff to ensure all necessary tasks are performed in a proficient manner that adheres to the quality expected from the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning the tech stack—how different applications and platforms integrate
- Setting up the tech stack
- Performing testing + QAing
- Creating and maintaining tech processes
- Checklists and walkthroughs that keep the whole company on the same page
- Auditing & mapping our existing tech setup
- Creating a tech operations roadmap based on our growth goals
- Including recommendations for platforms to use as we scale
- Setting up any tech systems or new platforms
- Training and sharing knowledge with new team members
- Creating a testing checklist and protocol
- Ensuring testing of all tech & funnels
- Problem solving & troubleshooting quickly
- Creating or managing the creation of SOPs and documentation for our tech & funnels
- Ensuring our tech & funnels are functioning efficiently
- Making upgrades to maximize what’s possible with our tech
Additional Requirements and Skills
- Analytical, creative, energetic, attention to detail go-getter, and ready to embark upon an adventure.
- Has own and reliable transportation.
- Has an updated and secure laptop or tablet with required programs and mobile phone.
- Quiet working environment, free of distractions and surrounding noise when working remotely.
- Firm grasp of available tools, management, and platforms in the technology, social media and digital space.
- Previous technical experience and digital acumen.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, understanding programming languages, other technical tools like AWS, ad tags, and MS Suite is a must. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design is a plus.
- An effective communicator, both written and oral with all staff, clients, vendors and community contacts.
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, time management, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- A loyal team player with the ability to handle client business as sensitive and confidential.
- Flexible and able to work odd schedules as well as travel as needed.
